Infor Education has a 3 day instructor-led PCM training course available on our public schedule that can also be delivered privately at your location, the course agenda is below:

PCM: Infor Product Configurator

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

Lesson 2 Infor Product Configurator Applications and Navigation · List the four applications that make up Infor Product Configurator.
· Recognize the purpose of Update Management System (UMS).
· Discuss how Enterprise Manager (EM) assists in application management.
· Describe Design Studio and become familiar with the available tools.
· Describe the Configurator Simulator.
Lesson 3 Fundamental Structures and Concepts · Define and build ruleset hierarchies.
· Explain the concepts of rulesets, inheritance, namespaces, and rules.
Lesson 4 Receive User Input · Explain how to receive input from an end user through the use of component attributes, option lists, and Screen rules.
Lesson 5 Manipulate User Input · Define how to manipulate the end user’s input via Variable rules and working variables.
Lesson 6 Test, Debug, and Troubleshoot · Identify how to test, debug, and troubleshoot critical errors and unexpected results received while testing created rulesets.
Lesson 7 Provide Feedback to User · List responses to an end user through Message and Detail rules.
Lesson 8 Enhance the User Experience · Identify additional options in Screen rules used to enhance the end user’s experience.
Lesson 9 Rule Organization · Explain how to use indentation of rules and Condition rules for organizational purposes.
Lesson 10 Execute Rules Conditionally · Identify rules based on a condition.
Lesson 11 Setting Defaults · Define default values.
Lesson 12 Dynamic Filtering in Option Lists · Explain how to use Variable rules to manipulate settings based on an end user selection.
· Define option list groups.
Lesson 13 Configure Sub- Assemblies or Sub-Components · Explain how to create sub-assemblies and sub-components through a Create Component rule.
Lesson 14 Variable Scoping · Identify potential issues caused by a Create Component rule.
Lesson 15 Build Reusable Rules · Explain how to build reusable rules through a sub-routine rule called an Include Ruleset and Include Ruleset rule.
Lesson 16 Retrieve a Single Value Based on Multiple Inputs · Explain the steps to create and execute matrices which provide multiple inputs to generate an output and perform comparisons on string and numeric values.
Lesson 17 Retrieve Multiple Values Based on Multiple Inputs · List the steps to create and execute collections which provide multiple inputs to generate multiple outputs.
Lesson 18 Repeat a Series of Rules Within a Configuration · List the steps to create and execute a series of rules multiple times through the use of a Loop rule and array component attributes.
Lesson 19 Reconfiguration and Rollback · Discuss ways to adjust rule execution to react to reconfiguration and rollback scenarios.
Lesson 20 Designing Rules for Alternate Languages · List the steps to design rules for alternate languages based on their role using custom views.
