Announcing new Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) offering

We are pleased to announce the general availability of Infor CloudSuite™ Industrial (SyteLine) v9.01.00 for both our subscription and on-premise customers. Infor CloudSuite Industrial 9.01.00 focuses on:

  • New features to support finance, multiple currencies for customers and vendors, and “Pick, Pack, and Ship”
  • Adoption of the latest Infor Xi technology platform including, Infor Ming.le®, Infor Document Management (IDM), and Infor Mongoose
  • Improved user experience, including new forms, reporting, and extensibility
  • Overall performance enhancements

Infor continues to provide value by delivering increased functionality and integrations, along with an improved Infor SoHo user interface.

Below are some highlights of this release. For a complete list of enhancements, please refer to the “Release Notes” document for Infor CloudSuite Industrial 9.01.00 on the Infor Xtreme Portal.

What’s new—release highlights

Infor Ming.le homepages
New Infor Ming.le homepages have been created for the following:

  • Buyer
  • Controller
  • Customer service
  • Executive
  • Inventory control
  • Production planner
  • Project manager
  • Salesperson

Each homepage consists of individual widgets. Additional widgets can be added to tailor individual homepages. Many of the widgets drillback to specific Infor CloudSuite forms for more detailed information.

Infor Document Management
Infor Document Management has been added to our subscription bundle for document management, and it is an optional component for on-premise customers who upgrade to v9.01.

IDM is a central repository where you can maintain your common business rules for creating and storing documents.

Advanced Planning and Scheduling
Enhanced Gantt chart includes:

  • Pre-defined color themes
  • Additional filters
  • Quick launch buttons
  • Visual status
  • Drag and drop


Multiple currencies for customers and vendors
In addition to the multi-currency features already provided in Infor CloudSuite, you can now also define multiple currencies for individual customers and vendors, to allow for more complex transaction currency exchange requirements, and so orders can be specified in a currency other than the customer default currency.

Bulk import of journal entries
There is a new form designed to allow you to import many entries at one time in a timely manner.

Fixed assets
There is a new field that has been added to the fixed assets form so that a “parent/child” fixed asset relationship can be established.

Inventory control

Improved reporting on material transactions by document number
The document number field has been added to several forms which allows a user to filter general ledger-posted transactions and other reports by this document number.

Display Bill of Materials (BOM) by revision
Users have the ability to filter by and view data for specific revisions.

Pick, Pack, Ship
New enhancements include:

  • Added ability to ship non-inventory items
  • Ability to generate shipments for picked items

The scheduling functionality has been enhanced by replacing the calendar control used to display appointments with a more modern version. This new version supports the ability to run in both the Smart Client and Web Client. We did this by dividing the Service Schedules form into two new forms:

  • You can use the Calendar Scheduling form to view scheduled appointments in a date/time arrangement using day, week, or month views. Buttons that previously opened the Service Schedules form now open the Calendar Scheduling form.
  • You can use the Queue Scheduling form to view appointments in a queue, allowing the dispatcher to arrange appointments in the order they should be performed. This form replaces the Daily Partner Queue and Open Partner Queue views that were previously available on the Service Schedules form.

Both forms still use the scheduling board and contain the same functionality with regard to selecting multiple views, profiles, color coding options, and the partner and task selection. We updated the date selection process on the scheduling board.

We also simplified the color coding process.

Starting with this release we have begun the move to new reporting:

  • We moved the Infor SyteLine Workbench Suite into the core Infor Mongoose framework delivery and created a new report form.
  • We moved more than 30 reports to this new report form and more than 150 other reports into Data View reports. All of this is part of the new framework and new Form Reporting & Designer.

Form Reporting: This allows users to define reports as Infor Mongoose forms

Data View Reporting: Predefined Data Views are used as the basis for reports.

Infor Support policy
To help Infor be more responsive to your needs regarding critical patches, we would like to remind you of our current support policy. While it is the customer’s responsibility to consult the exact language of the contract, our current policy is to maintain the most current release and the release immediately preceding.

We realize that upgrading to the latest release for some customers cannot be accomplished without proper planning and budgeting. The upgrade requirements from one release to another vary in difficulty and resources required. However, please remember that the further back from the most current release, the more effort, resources, and training are likely required to upgrade to the latest release.

Customers should consult the chart below to identify when critical patches will no longer be provided for previous versions. As with all Infor products, you will still be able to receive support line assistance after Infor stops providing critical patches, as long as you have a valid support contract. You can also access Infor Xtreme to request information, use the Knowledge Base search to find answers, and talk to support representatives regarding the incidents for these versions.

Infor does maintain the capability to patch a version beyond these dates, should a currently unknown issue be discovered that would create a system down situation.
